Artur Muradyan

When Artur Muradyan arrived at Vibra Hospital of Sacramento, he was facing a long road to recovery.

After being treated at a traditional hospital for a serious infection, Artur was referred to Vibra Hospital of Sacramento for continued medical care and treatment of his severe stage IV pressure injuries. Because he also lives with progressive multiple sclerosis and quadriplegia, his recovery required careful, coordinated medical care.

Vibra Hospital of Sacramento, a critical care hospital specializing in complex recovery, brought together an interdisciplinary team to support every aspect of Artur’s care. Physicians, wound care specialists, infectious disease experts, nurses, therapists, dietitians, case managers, and pharmacists worked together to create a personalized treatment plan focused on healing and helping him return home safely.

Artur’s pressure injuries were severe, with deep tissue damage and exposed bone. The Vibra Hospital team focused on giving his wounds the best opportunity to heal. His care plan included specialized wound care, intravenous (IV) antibiotics administered through a PICC line, pressure-relieving support surfaces, regular repositioning, nutritional support, pain management, and physical and occupational therapy.

Throughout Artur’s stay, the care team closely monitored his progress. Artur’s wife and brother were also actively involved in his care. They worked closely with the Vibra team, learning about his condition and supporting him every step of the way.

Over the course of more than three months, Artur made meaningful progress. One of his wounds healed completely, while another no longer required wound vacuum therapy. As his wounds healed, his pain became easier to manage, allowing him to transition from IV to oral medication.

By the time he was discharged, Artur was medically stable enough to return home with his family. Before he left Vibra Hospital, the team coordinated home health services, follow-up care, and the delivery of necessary medical equipment to support his continued recovery.

Artur, it was a privilege to be part of this important chapter in your recovery. We wish you continued healing, comfort, and many meaningful moments as you enjoy being home with your family.
